Karen Day
Karen Day grew up in a small town in northern Indiana much like Lake Haven, the fictional town in her first novel, Tall Tales. She studied journalism in college and after graduating, she moved to the East Coast where she wrote for newspapers and magazines. However, she always wanted to write fiction. Karen finished her first draft of Tall Tales in 2000. It went through dozens of revisions and several rejections before Wendy Lamb (Random House) bought it in 2005, and it was published in 2007. Her second book, No Cream Puffs, was published by Wendy Lamb in 2008. Karen has three kids, a husband, one bird, and lives just outside of Boston.
